SLO Delicious Bake Shop is the premier location for the brand’s Parisian-inspired bakery and eatery located in downtown San Luis Obispo. The bakeshop and cafe are situated in a coveted space on Garden Street, next to hip coffee shops and adjacent to the brand-new Hotel Cerro. With only 643 square feet to work with, seating and storage space needed to be creatively problem solved. The design team conceptualized unique storage solutions by using a hybrid of display shelving and cabinetry to elegantly hide clutter while displaying vintage bakeware and glassware. Bar seating was designed as an alternative to tables to allow for wider walkways. Counters were set at table height to maximize accessible seating. Material finishes were chosen by referencing the surrounding architecture and taking inspiration from Parisian cafes in the application of rustic tile and refinished wood floors.
