Squire Canyon Residence

SQUIRE CANYON RESIDENCE

This three-bedroom house is located on top of a hill with extensive views of the San Luis Obispo canyons. Contemporary lines and view preservation were key in the design process, along with building orientation for prevention of photovoltaic panels on the roof. An outdoor lap pool allows for the terrain to drop along the house, without the use of guardrails that would obstruct the view. The main residence uses an off-white stucco material and is anchored to the standing seam covered garage by a stone element that includes two bedrooms. Using the solar powered roof system, the residence will include a complete home automation system along with a charging station for electric vehicles.
