bakersfield fire station and police station no.15
Candice worked with the City of Bakersfield to program and design a new public safety center for a separate police station and fire station on the west side of town. She was instrumental part of the design team and public workshops, which guided the final approach for this project.
The new one company, 11,000 sf fire station is located across from the new 4,000 sf police substation, which includes a 1,400 sf community room. The 4.9 acre project site is located in a sensitive residential area adjacent to a neighborhood park, shopping center, and housing. This facility includes an emergency operations center and dispatch center for the City.
Project completed while Candice Wong was at another firm. Candice worked on the construction documents and construction administration.
