SKYVIEW MOTEL
TEN OVER STUDIO designed this renovation and remodel to the iconic Skyview Motel. The original motel, built in 1954, had fallen into disrepair. New owners purchased the property, with a vision for a rustic-modern update to the 31 guest rooms and two guest suites, restaurant and bar, pool and pool deck, and courtyard.
The Skyview Motel is located directly off the 101 Freeway atop a bluff, overlooking the historical town of Los Alamos. The interior courtyard was revisioned to mimic outdoor rooms as an extension of the luxurious interior suites. Drought tolerant and desert inspired plant selections were selected to seamlessly connect the rustic modern architecture within the landscape.
