MARIN EMERGENCY OPERATIONS FACILITY

This project was the renovation and conversion of a Class A office building into a new public safety center. The three-story emergency operations facility consists of a 145,000 SF project for a new Sheriff’s Headquarters, Emergency Operations Center, Communication Center, and county-wide IT and Radio Systems.

The new EOF is the headquarters for the Sheriff Department and house administration, support services, and field services. The facility features state of the art technology and facilities for the new communication center and emergency operations center. A wellness center is incorporated in the project to promote physical fitness and facilitate training needs. County information technology, and Marin Emergency Radio Authority, are also included as components of the project.

Project completed while Candice Wong was the Public Safety Studio Manager with another firm. Candice was the Program Manager and Project Manager for the architectural program, performance specifications, site feasibility studies. Candice assisted the Jones Lang LaSalle team with the development of the P3 solicitation package and design competition. HMC was the architect of record.
