TEN OVER STUDIO Becomes a Certified B Corporation

TEN OVER STUDIO joins the B Corp Community in celebrating B Corp month in February! TEN OVER became a Certified B Corporation in September 2017 after combing through their social and environmental impact since the firms inception. 

B Corporation certifications, managed by the nonprofit organization B Lab, recognize companies that are actively working to use “business as a force for good.” Companies that join the B Corp community sign a “declaration of interdependence” acknowledging their responsibility to their employees, communities, the environment and to future generations.

TEN OVER joins the community of over 2,100 certified companies from 50 countries and 130 industries. TEN OVER is one of three architecture firms with the certification in the California and one of only seven in the country.

According to Jim Duffy, TEN OVER founder and CEO, the certification is an acknowledgement of the ethos that has always been central to the firm: building sustainability into every area of the business.

“Becoming a B Corp made it known to the world that we take our impact on the people we work with and the planet we call home just as seriously as the profit we make,” says Duffy.

This has been a year of significant growth for TEN OVER, which opened its first satellite office in Bend, Ore. in July. The B Corp certification helps to lay the groundwork for continued, mindful growth.
