Designing Environments
/Landscape design offers us the opportunity to enrich the health of a community with spaces that enhance our quality of life and foster connection. Our landscape architecture team brings elements of culture and nature together to design cohesive environments. It’s landscape designers who are leading the vision for the places in your city that spill over with greenery and life, the places you can’t wait to step foot in because of the way they make you feel. We get to tell a story with landscape architecture that sets the tone for a visitor’s experience.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHT - BONETTI RANCH
Our landscape architecture team was stoked to be able to design the San Luis Obispo Public Market at Bonetti Ranch. We were excited to be involved in the design of this 82,000 sq. ft. development, contracted for The Obispo Company as a farm to table public market for our community.
SLO Public Market has already become a local favorite and a tourist stop, where you’ll find a variety of shops and entertainment all in a walkable, airy, sun-kissed location. Initial plans for the space included a produce stand, restaurants, a wine and cheese shop, and a brewery. TEN OVER STUDIO, as the site architect for the project, executed the design of five of the buildings, including four historic farm structures and the main public market space.
SUSTAINABILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE
When we say everything we do is centered around making the world a better place, we mean it. The farm to table concept of this project promotes locally grown food, supporting local producers and farms in the process. Businesses shifting towards sustainable practices like this help us to reduce our carbon footprint. Locally sourced food means less factory farming, less travel pollution, and a more flavorful dining experience full of seasonal ingredients. Not a bad trade-off!
A TEAM EFFORT
At TEN OVER, we’re a family, and each of us brings something unique to the table. Every project around here is a collaborative endeavor between the designers and our client’s needs. We’re keen on the insight our Landscape Architect, Julia Oberhoff provides, backed by her 15 years of experience in the field. Julia holds a Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley and has made the Central Coast undeniably better than she found it with architecture that connects people to the recreational paradise that SLO has to offer.
